Last Wednesday, 13th April, Edna, my mother turned 84.
We had a party for her in the colton Close recreation room.
Many members of her family attended inclucing her husband (Eric) and her brother (Bill).
After eating Cameron played a cornet solo ...
... ane then we were regailed by a family ensemble playing some of mum's favourite hymn tunes.
Dad gave her a timbrel, so she played it while the ensemble played some tunes.
(The point of the timbrel is that one of the many activities at Colton Close is band practice where residents play percussion instruments while one of the staff plays the piano. Mum now has her own timbrel for band practice.)
Mum certainly enjoyed her party.
