Electric Cars

Here is an advertisement for the new Nissan Leaf, electric car.

It is an attractive advertisement that is cleverly aimed at the environmentally conscious market.

The hard headed questions are: "What is the point of an electric car if it gets its electricity from coal fired power stations? Surely it is just swapping one form of carbon emission for another?"

Maybe this is a win-win solution, and might be part of the answer to Climate Change and Peek Oil.
